Mission Statement

​

The Chaplaincy Program was established to provide a method of comfort, encouragement, and assistance, as best we can, to our fellow workplace employees and their immediate family members at no cost.

Purpose

​

To demonstrate Godly integrity, honesty, accountability, and responsibility as Chaplaincy members while we administer and support the membership through the Chaplaincy Program in the International Union—UAW.

Chaplains will:

​

• Maintain confidentiality—according to the law

• Create an atmosphere of confidence in the individual, the community, membership and their families

• Present the Chaplaincy Program in the best possible light for the welfare of all

​

Chaplains volunteer their time and service. These are not paid positions. Many of the Chaplains are ordained and certified in Chaplaincy.

​

Chaplaincy Conferences are held annually at the Walter & Mae Ruether Education Center, Black Lake,

in Onaway, Michigan. The Conference continuously improve year after year, and the number of attendees is ever increasing.
