  • Detroit Veterans Parade 11-10-19

    • UAW-Ford participated in the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade on November 10 with UAW-Ford representatives & Veterans in the parade with Ford vehicles and signage. 

  • Ford Veterans Network Event 11-7-19

    • Ford Motor Company’s Veterans Network Group hosted the annual Veterans Day Celebration on Thursday, November 7, 2019.  Presenters included representatives from Ford’s Veterans support programs, UAW-Ford, Ford Vice President John Savona and keynote speaker, Navy Seal Ryan “Birdman” Parrott.

  • Kansas City WWI Museum

    • In 2004, the Kansas City Museum and Memorial was designated by Congress as the nation's official World War I Museum.  The site includes an 80,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art museum and the Edward Jones Research Center underneath the Liberty Memorial.

  • UAW-Ford WWFS High Five 2019

    • The UAW-Ford National Veterans Department successfully completed the 2019 Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour.” A new 2018 F-150 Raptor built at Dearborn Assembly toured across America to thank our wounded Veterans for their service.  Donations collected from the tour benefited WWFS’s Veterans programs. 

  • UAW-Ford Inaugural Veterans Conference

    • The UAW-Ford Veterans Department hosted a conference at the UAW-Ford National Programs Center on May 16, 2019 to provide the opportunity to bring together Veteran-related representatives from all UAW-Ford plants and facilities around the country.  The conference allowed participants to receive and exchange information and benefits regarding the well-being of our Veterans. 

  • Elmwood Cemetery Memorial 5-21-19

    • Veterans were honored by a Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony on May 21, 2019 at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit coordinated through the UAW-Ford Veterans Department.  

  • Dearborn Memorial Day Parade 5-27-19

    • The UAW-Ford Veterans Department participated in the 95th Annual Dearborn Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27. The event is Michigan’s oldest continuous parade, and is one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the country. It serves to recognize fallen Veterans of the U.S. military. UAW-Ford’s participation in the parade included UAW-Ford Veterans representatives driving UAW-built Ford Motor Company vehicles with UAW-Ford Veterans Department nomenclature to support our presence as supporters of the Veterans cause.

  • Active Heroes Riders 8-25-18

    • The UAW-Ford National Veterans Department participated in the fundraising Motorcycle Rally, Riders for Heroes, in Louisville, KY on Saturday, August 25, 2018.  

  •  Active Heroes Veterans Transitional Camp

    • The UAW-Ford Louisville, KY ramp team built cabins for Veterans who are transitioning from active military to civilian life

  • Detroit Veterans Parade 11-11-18

    • UAW-Ford participated in the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade on November 11 with UAW-Ford representatives & Veterans in the parade with Ford vehicles and signage. 

  • Detroit Veterans Parade 11-5-17

    • UAW-Ford participated in the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade on November 5 with UAW-Ford representatives & Veterans in the parade with Ford vehicles and signage. 

  • Detroit Veterans Parade 11-6-16

    • On Sunday November 6th, 2016 UAW-Ford participated in the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade. We had 25 participants who walked the parade route along with four Ford vehicles. At the front of our group, we honored the Veterans from our UAW-Ford Veterans Welding Program.

  • UAW-Ford Foundation 14 12-2-17

    • The UAW-Ford Veterans Department supported the Veterans organization, Foundation 14, by assisting with funding a motorcycle to provide therapy for a Veteran suffering PTSD.  The presentation event was held at Biker Bobs in Taylor, MI on December 2, 2017 where UAW-Ford representatives were present to show their support.

  • UAW-Ford Veterans Welding Class

    • UAW-Ford partners with Wounded Warriors Family Support to provide welding classes for Veterans who are interested in a career in welding.

  • UAW-Ford WWFS F-150

    • UAW-Ford partnered with Wounded Warriors Family Support and the Purple Heart Foundation in presenting a wounded Veteran an F-150 that is modified for specific needs to provide independent mobility.

  • UAW-Ford WWFS High Five 2016

    • The UAW-Ford National Veterans Department successfully completed the 2016 Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour.” The 2016 Mustang GT350 built at Flat Rock Assembly toured across America to thank our wounded Veterans for their service.  Donations collected from the tour benefited WWFS’s Veterans programs. 

  • UAW-Ford WWFS High Five 2017

    • The UAW-Ford National Veterans Department successfully completed the 2017 Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour.” The 2017 F-250 Super Duty built from the Kentucky Truck Plant toured across America to thank our wounded Veterans for their service. Donations collected from the tour benefited WWFS’s Veterans programs

  • UAW-Ford WWFS High Five 2018

    • The UAW-Ford National Veterans Department successfully completed the 2018 Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour.” The 2018 F-150 Raptor built at Dearborn Assembly toured across America to thank our wounded Veterans for their service.  Donations collected from the tour benefited WWFS’s Veterans programs. 

  • Veterans Community Kansas City

    • We are continuing to work with the Veterans Community Project to support the Tiny Homes project in Kansas City.  There is currently construction to complete fifty homes. 

  • UAW-Ford WWFS Barrett-Jackson 4-10

    • The UAW-Ford Veterans department participated in the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach, Florida.  UAW-Ford partnered with Wounded Warriors Family Support to present a custom mobility-equipped 2017 F-250 to Vietnam Veteran, Captain Tommy Clack. 

  • Vietnam Veterans Wall Elizabethtown

    • We are working with Veterans Tribute Group, Inc. to support The Wall project.  The Wall is an organization that is securing a replica Vietnam wall to be placed in the Veterans Tribute Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
